Take a trip through the last century of Homecoming fashion by visiting the new exhibit at Louisiana Tech’s Ropp Center.

Louisiana Tech University’s Fashion Merchandising and Retail Studies (FMRS) program, in collaboration with Louisiana Tech Special Collections, Manuscripts, and Archives and the Louisiana Tech Legacy Museum, will celebrate 100 years of Homecoming with a special exhibit featuring a century of style and spirit through collected pieces from Archives, the FMRS program, and Louisiana Tech Athletics.
Located in the Ropp Center, the exhibit will be open to the public from October 14-28, 2025. An opening reception will be held on October 15, 2025, from 3-5 p.m.
The exhibit will showcase signature fashion pieces from each decade of Louisiana Tech’s Homecoming history, including original Tech Tartan designs, Homecoming suits, spirit group uniforms, and Athletics apparel. This exhibit offers visitors a chance to walk through the evolution of style and school spirit over the last century.
“Since this year is Louisiana Tech’s 100th homecoming, it’s the perfect occasion to create an exhibit that brings our story to life through clothing, photographs, and cherished memorabilia,” Kathleen Heiden, Fashion Merchandising and Retail Studies professor, said. “Each piece of fashion, photographs, and campus life tell a part of the same story – the style, pride, and spirit that defines Louisiana Tech.”
