Part design. Part business. The Fashion Merchandising and Retail Studies (FMRS) program at Louisiana Tech is a unique curriculum of blended elements that make for a one-of-a-kind student experience. Penny Humphries, Director of Development for the College of Applied and Natural Sciences and an Instructor in Fashion Merchandising, and Dex Moody, a dedicated student in the program, discuss what makes the degree— and the fashion industry as a whole— so different from the rest. They talk about how their paths have led them to this field, and they also touch on the special events that make up the driving force behind the FMRS experience.
